AP to enhance ex-gratia to farmers

The Andhra Pradesh Government headed by Nara Chandrababu Naidu has enhanced the ex-gratia to farmers to relieve the misery and debt of the family members of farmers who have committed suicide. The Government has increased the ex-gratia from the present Rs 1 lakh to Rs 3.5 lakh for the family of deceased farmer towards their rehabilitation. The crop loan waiver limit has also been enhanced from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1.50 lakh to debtors as one time settlement to wipe off all liabilities on families of the deceased farmers.

Apart from the above, the Government also decided to extend other benefits to them, which incorporate affirmation of kids in social welfare schools and hostels, allotment of houses under IAY Scheme and financial backing under Government schemes and pensions.

Requests to this impact have been issued on Thursday by J.C.Sharma, the Principal Secretary of Revenue Department.
